Britt and Dillon's European Adventure

Britt and Dillon left to study abroad in Austria this semester. We were so sad to see them go but super excited for the fun that is ahead of them. I'm going to have to be better at blogging so Britt can keep up with everything that is going on around here.
WE WILL MISS YOU GUYS! LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Our beautiful baby girl at 33 weeks.

We went to the Sara Study at UAMS today and got a chance to have a 3D/4D Ultrasound of Karoline. The study isn't intrusive at all...they just record the brain waves... and we got a free ultrasound out of the deal. I will say Karoline wasn't quite as cooperative as they would have liked. She tends to put her hand in front of her face A LOT...which makes it hard for them to get a good profile shot of her. Well it looks like she is going to be a big baby. They took her measurements and she is already 4lbs 12oz. Here are the few shots that you can kind of see what she looks like. The lady assured me that all babies noses look bigger in this that they really are. (for those of you who know how much I love my nose) :)

July 25th...could there be a better day?

Well...I have always said "july 25th is the most perfect day ever"....I was born on the 25th...enough said. :)
Today was another great birthday. I turned the big 28 today. It sounded really old to me too.

Tony and I were both able to take the day off. It actually worked out great b/c we were able to spend some time together that we otherwise wouldn't have been able to. He had to have an Upper GI done to check for ulcers in his stomach. They happened to have a cancellation for today so guess where we spent my birthday morning. I highly recommend this as a very enjoyable way to spend your birthday... I am not kidding. I think I had more fun listening to the funny things Tony said while he was on medication. I only wish I could remember everything he said. Now had he not had good results it could have been a very depressing Birthday...luckily I was able to enjoy it! Mom and Dad came by the hospital to sit with me but the procedure was so quick that I was already back with Tony by the time they got there. They went and picked up some Chick-fil-a and met us at the house.

Tony ended up going to bed pretty much right after we got home and I went on to Doodle Works(paint your own pottery) with my 8th grade SS class. Tamara and Ridge joined us for some of the time. They surprised me with a birthday cake. It was really thoughtful. I decorated a light switch cover for karolines room so we will have to see how it turns out.

I got completely spoiled with phone calls, email, cards and gifts, and even a homemade cheesecake(thanks bar...you know what i like). I am so blessed so have such wonderful family and friends. Till next july 25th rolls around..."peace out...later dude"(a quote from my drugged up husband yesterday before his procedure)

My birthday party!

Saturday my family took me out to eat for an early birthday celebration. We came home and ate birthday "cookie". You can't beat Olive Garden and a birthday cookie from Great American Cookie Company. Yum! We had a wonderful time. I love getting to spend time with my family. They are all so much fun! Love you guys and thanks so much for a wonderful birthday celebration.

27 weeks

Well I'm 27 weeks. Thought I would go ahead and post a pic for those of you who keep asking. My mom got me this cute shirt in Australia so I thought I would show it off. :)

More Pictures of Karolines Room

Well we got a lot done this weekend. There are a few more projects on our list but the major stuff is done. Now I can just put my mind to the fun stuff...decorating the room, etc..
Here are a few more pictures with some of the furniture and bedding in place. The colors are a lot brighter in these photos for some reason. I promise we aren't trying to blind her the second she enters her room for the first time.

Painting Karolines Room

Well I couldn't resist going ahead and posting a couple pictures of the room in progress. Tony just looked too cute in there painting and I was ready to get the pic of me off the top of my page. As you can see we picked a "great green" color for the room... no really that is the name of the color. I think it is going to look really cute with everything else in the room. We had some help with the painting earlier.. Michael Ferguson one of Tony's friends came by to help. Barri and Justin were out walking and happened to get sucked into the fun as well.
I'm also adding a picture of the chair that I recovered for those of you who have been asking about it. It is a lot cuter in person. Thanks Aunt Margot for the chair... I've had it since Jen and I lived in Starlight at OBU. I just keep recovering and painting it! Looks like new. Well, I wouldn't have been able to have a hot pink chair any other way. I'm too practical when making huge purchases. :)

22 weeks

okay this picture is so erin and rachel will stop bugging me about not putting belly pictures on my blog. Can't say that I ever feel like I want to post a pic of myself on here. Sorry about the look on my face.
I am in my 22nd week so i'm over half way now. Crazy how fast it has gone by so far.

Father's Day Weekend/Nikki's 23rd Birthday!

We had a wonderful weekend! We went to Arkadelphia Friday night and got to spend a little time with Mom and Dad before they flew to Salt Lake City for a Rotary Conference on Sat. Saturday we got to spend the day with Tony's parents as well as Ashley, Carly and Carson. We headed back to Arkadelphia for a wedding Saturday night. Sunday morning Tony, Britt and I woke Nikki up like the "good ole days" singing happy birthday with the birthday cake and presents(sorry..those pics won't make the blog...we are scary creatures that early in the morning). Jan(and Lucy), Tony, Sean, Dillon, Tony and I celebrated Niks birthday with a great cookout. After lunch the rest of the gang, minus Mom and Dad were able to be there so we really had fun sitting around the backyard talking while the boys played wiffle ball and had a us open of their own in the back yard. We had a wonderful time with both of our families...wish it could have been longer.
