winter weather!

you can't have a snow day without trying to go somewhere....so how about IHOP for breakfast.

playing in the sleet

we took a walk to barri and justins house. it was slush when we left and an hour later it was a sheet of ice. SO COLD!

Snow!!!!!!!! much more fun than sleet and ice!

gift from Great Granny Cosh

My grandmother who lives in South Africa, sent Karoline and her other great grandchildren money for Christmas. She wanted us to buy them a special gift for Christmas. I wanted it to be something Karoline would always have and be able to know that her Great Granny Gave it to her. So I chose this adorable jewelry box from Pottery Barn Kids. Unfortunately it was on back order and we didn't get it in time for Christmas. Honestly it turned out even better b/c she was able to enjoy it even more. She played with this for hours yesterday. I really think this is the perfect gift to treasure for a lifetime. Thank you Gran for the wonderful gift! Karoline will be able to put the beautiful necklace you gave her adorable jewelry box! We love and miss you SO much!

SAY CHEESE!!!!!!!

unique play date!

Doesn't every kid want to go on a play date to get a hair cut, eat at the hospital cafeteria and go to the ENT? haha well these two really enjoyed it. haha Karoline had an apt with the ENT that jan actually set us up with...she deals with him at work but had never met him in person. Since we were going on a lunch date i had jan and taylor meet me at dr. gardners office. If you know him...you realize he chatted it up for quite a bit and didn't leave us much time for lunch before jan had a drs apt at baptist. So...we decided to take the girls to lunch at the baptist hospital. it was so funny b/c they both actually liked the food. karoline said she wanted to go back soon. haha after the apt we took them to get a hair cut at pig tails and crew cuts. it was so cute. karoline wasn't that excited about it until she got a sucker and even then...she didn't ENJOY it. Taylor enjoyed herself and was so good. We had a great time with Jan and Taylor. We definitely need to do it more often. maybe next time we will pick a more exciting place. :)

birthdays galore!!!!!!! and more to come

january has been the month for birthdays. it seems like as soon as karoline learns the happy birthday song with one persons name in it we have to switch to the next. it has been fun b/c it means we have been around a lot of family. we just can't get enough of it. I don't have any pics from carly's birthday party. Sorry Carly...so glad we could celebrate with you!

a few of her favorite things!

karoline has quite the personality these days. she is very opinionated with what she wears. Boots and princess shoes are a HUGE part of her wardrobe. The fact she can wear the boots out of the house without freezing to death means we wear them A LOT!! The rain boots are an every day must. I think she enjoys the fact she can put them on by herself.

She loves to wear tony's hats.

playing peek a boo on the roof of her playhouse.
